Today's before and afters

Removed all old mulch and brought in new. Took away 4 shrubs and added 4 more smaller ones to open up the space. Not too hard of a job thanks to some excellent helpers. Material and labor cost the client less than $800.

Surprisingly my first build with landscape timbers. Leveled ground, built bed, covered in fabric, and mulched. No more mud pit.
