Pink Perfection Camellia (Camellia japonica 'Pink Perfection' is blooming in the Greek Garden. ‘Uso Otome’ was the original title given to this variety in Japan. The plant was propagated and exported to Europe where it went by the name ‘Fraud Minna Seidel’. Later it was sent to Sacramento, where the name ‘Pink Perfection’ was registered (1875). Throughout the Victorian era and following it has become one of the most popular Camellias in cultivation. We love the symmetry of its petals and its delicate light pink color.
