• Avoid overloading circuits with space heaters; plug them directly into wall outlets and limit how many are used at once. Never use power strips with heaters
• Use generators safely and never operate them indoors or near windows
• Pay attention to warning signs like flickering lights, warm outlets, or tripped breakers
