We like to think we move mountains.
Selling our limerock is one thing, but moving it is not so simple. We sell material by the ton, mostly to contractors who use trucks that are independently operated by truck brokers. We are proud of the streamlined process we use to execute flawless transport of the material away from the quarry.
🚚On a busy morning, more than 150 trucks may be lined up before opening. In order to keep the process of pick-up and transport running smoothly, we pre-load our systems with data for each pickup. Truck brokers send in forms the evening prior listing customer names, truck numbers, destinations, and products. Once they arrive, they roll onto the scale where we capture their empty weight and match each truck to its previously input data, before sending off to the loading station.
White Rock enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on overweight loads; if a truck is too heavy, it must shed material and re-weigh before leaving. This process is made easier due to each loader being equipped with its own onboard scale, ensuring that it can be filled as close as possible to the max weight without going over. Once the truck is weighed for exit and the product is verified, a ticket is printed and the drivers are now on the way to their destination.
