What is Hydroseeding?

Simple answer is- It’s the green stuff sprayed along the sides of the roads that grows grass! More in depth answer - Hydroseeding is a planting process which uses a slurry mixture made up of water, grass seed, paper or wood mulch, and a fertilizer. The slurry is applied with pressure to the prepared soil surface for quick seed germination and a nice, even lawn development. It is often used as an erosion control technique on construction sites as well as a method of planting grass in home lawns and along roadways, as an alternative to the traditional process of planting dry seed or laying sod. With proper watering, seed germination and grass growth is typically seen in about two weeks. Need to plant grass at your home, office or construction site? Hydroseeding is on average 70% less expensive than laying sod.
