I put together this color guide to help you choose seasonal accents that work with the colors already in your home. Find your room’s main color, then try a softer pairing or something a little richer.

Think plum with sage, burgundy with navy, or cranberry alongside warm wood. A few flowers, a pillow, or a little pumpkin can pull it all together.

Apparently, “just a few fall flowers” means something different when I’m holding the stems. 😂🍂

I had so much fun creating this mantel for a client, and it inspired my newest article: Fall Decorating Do’s & Don’ts.

I’m sharing simple ideas for using what you already have, affordable places I love to shop, and ways to bring fall into your home while working with your everyday colors. There are even 16 color combinations to help you find a look you love.

Go all out with the flowers or give one little pumpkin a place on a shelf. Have fun with it! If you don’t like it, take it apart and try again. You’re allowed to move the pumpkins. 😉
