These 4/0 cable are used mostly for larger 12 volt solar systems.
This gauge size is commonly used for connecting inverters to the battery or
bus bars and used to connect the battery bank to the bus bars.

Also use them as battery interconnects to connect batteries together for larger battery banks and as interconnects for 24 and 48 volt systems even though they can handle a lot more current than a typical 48 volt system will produce.
