We love helping bring all kinds of outdoor spaces to life, from residential homes and commercial properties to schools, parks, prayer gardens, butterfly and pollinator habitats, and multifamily communities. Depending on the project's needs, we also offer services like stamped landscape architectural drawings, schematic design, construction documents, construction administration, and project closeout.

This beautiful property in St. John is a great example. We were proud to work alongside a partner contractor on this redesign, and it's always rewarding to see the vision continue to come to life years after the installation.

Phase 1 of this project in Highland is complete! A few thoughtful updates completely transformed this backyard into an outdoor retreat. 🌿

The existing deck was repaired and enhanced, a new paver patio expands outdoor hangout area with a built-in fire pit and seat wall, and a flagstone walkway adds a clean connection point for easy movement. A starting group of plantings enhance the whole area and will be expanded further in the fall. This first phase gives the homeowners a more functional and inviting place to relax, entertain, and enjoy their space with family.

The heat is on! ☀️🌿 During a heatwave, water deeply in the early morning and add a fresh layer of mulch to help lock in moisture. Better yet? Consider incorporating more native plants into your landscape. Once established, many native species are naturally adapted to local heat and dry conditions, meaning they typically need less water and maintenance than non-native plants. A landscape that works with nature is a landscape built to last!

Happy Father’s Day from TL Design! 🐦

DID YOU KNOW? Male cardinals are among the most devoted fathers in the bird world. They help feed and protect their young and remain actively involved throughout the nesting process. The male even feeds the female while she’s incubating the eggs. After the young leave the nest, he often continues caring for them on his own while the female begins building a new one.
