Storm damage in your landscape? Don’t assume everything that looks damaged needs to be replaced. 🌳
Broken branches can often be pruned, and shrubs and perennials that look rough after the storm may still recover. Other problems, like saturated soil, disturbed roots or leaning plants, may take some time to fully assess.
If you’re not sure what you’re looking at, take a few clear photos of the entire plant, the damaged area and the surrounding site and bring them into the garden center. Our staff can help you assess the damage and determine reasonable next steps.
For large damaged trees, hanging limbs, power-line involvement or other safety concerns, contact the appropriate tree-care or utility professional.
The goal right now isn’t necessarily to replace what was damaged. It’s to figure out what can recover and give those plants the best chance to bounce back.
