Claverack Pump Service took over Eastern States Well Drillers in 2018 and merged into Claverack Well and Pump Service LLC. We moved into the larger facility at 8960 State Route 22 in Hillsdale, NY to begin the expansion of our company. We now cover Columbia County, Dutchess County, Greene County, Berkshire County, parts of Connecticut and many other places in between. We are so excited for all these amazing changes happening and are thrilled with the amount of support we've received from our wonderful customers in the process.

Well cleaning ("well regeneration") is a state-of-the-art method to improve water quality and quantity in aging wells. Over the years, water wells can build up with iron, manganese, hardness, and sediment. Many people install water filtration inside their home which does help, but the most efficient way to reduce these water quality issues is to clean your well. With public drinking water, even if it leaves the source in a relatively clean state, your water travels through pipes, some of which may have been underground since Victorian times! It is almost impossible for the water not to become contaminated by something undesirable. With well water, your water comes from your own property, so it's healthier. But if you are determined to stick with public water, make sure to get it tested frequently.

Low water yield can be a problem for your home or business, and in some cases can even result in your well running dry! To determine your exact water yield we suggest having a flow test done first. Once we have your results back, a solution that we recommend is hydrofracking. This is a process where a packer is inserted into the well and the water is forced below the packer into well cavities, thereby allowing the flow to be increased.

Properly maintaining your well pump can prolong the life of your pump and help keep it running efficiently. Some signs that it's time to schedule a well pump check-up include low water pressure, discolored and/or foul tasting water, air coming from faucets, or no water at all. If any of these situations occur, call us immediately to schedule our well pump maintenance service and repair.
