On Friday July 31, Local 73 Apprentice Coordinator Sean Mulhearn retired. Sean has been a Local 73 member for over 34 years including the last 8 years as AC. The members and officers of SMW 73 wish Sean a happy retirement!
Local 73 JATC has chosen Kenn Short to be the new Apprentice Coordinator. Kenn, a 2nd generation Tinner, has been a member of Local 73 for over 27 years. Kenn served a 4 year apprenticeship and the last 11 years as a Local 73 officer including Conductor, Trustee and as an Executive Board member. The members and officers congratulate Kenn and are excited for the positive growth he will bring to our apprenticeship program.

Bally's Chicago is moving along! There are four SMW 73 mechanical contractors on the job, Advance Mechanical Systems, AIR Design Systems, INC., EOS Mechanical, Ochoa Mechanical Group, as well as A-1 Roofing Co. on the roof. Here are the members from EOS Mechanical and the 34 story hotel they are working on.
