That’s a wrap on FRPA 2026! 🌴

We had a great few days connecting with parks and recreation professionals from across Florida, talking all things parks, and seeing plenty of creative ideas come to life at our “Design Your Dream Park” booth.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, build a park, and chat with our team. We’re heading home inspired and already looking forward to next year!

We can’t wait to see you at FRPA !

We’re excited to share that Flavet Park at the University of Florida was featured in Athletic Business’ 2026 Architectural Showcase!

Wood+Partners served as the landscape architects for Flavet Park, helping shape a dynamic outdoor environment that supports recreation, connection, and the everyday campus experience. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the project recognized and so well received.

Congratulations to the entire project team, and especially to our Wood+Partners team members Trey, Celina, and Kyle for their work on this one!

Good public spaces start with good collaboration.

At Coligny Circle Pocket Park, Wood+Partners and Ward Edwards worked side by side from day one, bringing Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering together to transform a 0.29-acre corner of Hilton Head into a more connected, functional place for the community.

The park now features a widened multi-use path, custom shade trellis, new seating and lighting, fresh plantings, and a reimagined stormwater feature, all thoughtfully designed around the existing live oaks.

But just as important as the finished space is the partnership that brought it to life.

“Ward Edwards is a great partner and an invaluable part of the project team. They’re always one step ahead in their thinking, bringing thoughtful solutions to the table and keeping projects moving forward.” — Kyle Theodore, Principal, Wood+Partners

“I enjoyed the collaborative nature of working with Wood+Partners on the Coligny Pocket Park project. I believe our teams worked well together as we were both working on a town project with the common goal to strengthen the local community that we work in, live in, and enjoy each day.” — Alex Ciesielski, Designer Lead, Ward Edwards Engineering

We’re proud of what this partnership makes possible and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together next.

13 years of talent, laughs, and a whole lot of great work. 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Brad and 13 years with Wood+Partners!

Over the years, Brad has played an instrumental role in some of our most memorable projects, including Camp Creek, Williams-Brice Stadium, and Dolphin Head. For Brad, one of the most rewarding parts has been getting to experience those places after spending years bringing them to life through plans and computer screens—from swimming in a pool he helped design at Camp Creek to watching tens of thousands of fans experience the transformed grounds at Williams-Brice Stadium.

But Brad’s impact at Wood+Partners goes well beyond his talent as a Landscape Architect. He brings an incredible amount of creativity and experience to our team, is always good for a laugh around the office, and has contributed so much to the people and work that make Wood+Partners what it is today.

When asked what 13 years at W+P have taught him, Brad summed it up well:

“Be proud of what you do and how you go about doing it. Creating great designs with great people makes showing up every day so much easier and so much more rewarding.”

We’re lucky to have had Brad’s talent, personality, and perspective on our team for the past 13 years. Happy Work-iversary, Brad! Here’s to what’s ahead. 🍻

33+ years of experience in planning and landscape architecture… and apparently a few years on the dance floor.
This is who plans your projects, by the way. 🕺

We are honored to have received an Award of Merit from the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (Florida ASLA) in the Resort & Entertainment category for Camp Creek Inn & Resort.

Led by Trey Griffin, this project is the result of thoughtful planning, strong collaboration, and a shared vision with an incredible client and project team. We are grateful for the opportunity to help create a destination that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Congratulations to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to life, and thank you to ASLA for this recognition.

Happy National Intern Day!

As Tyler wraps up his internship with Wood+Partners, we're celebrating everything he accomplished this summer.

His biggest takeaway?

💬 "Collaboration. Everyone at Wood+Partners was extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help when I had a question."

From gaining a new perspective on the Landscape Architecture profession to enjoying birthday treats and Bella's office visits, we're thankful Tyler spent his summer with us.

Best of luck as you head back to Clemson to begin your Master's in Landscape Architecture, Tyler. We're cheering you on!

Most visitors see a playground, a trail, or a beautiful landscape.
Landscape architects see something a little different.

✔️ Materials selected for long-term durability and maintenance
✔️ Accessibility and connections
✔️ How people naturally move through the space
✔️ Where shade has been thoughtfully placed
✔️ What plants have been intentionally chosen and arranged

The best parks don't happen by accident. Every design decision, from circulation to materials, helps shape the visitor experience and ensures the space functions well for years to come.

The next time you visit a park, take a closer look. You may start noticing the details that make great places work.

What's the first thing you notice when you visit a park?
