Is it important to discuss budget limits when you begin the process of planning a build?

Absolutely.

Letting the architect and builder know your budget early in the process helps guide the design from the beginning and can avoid costly redesigns later on.

When the builder is estimating from plans that were designed with the budget in mind, it allows for a more accurate initial estimate, keeps the project moving forward efficiently, and helps keep everyone on the same page throughout the process.
