This poor Silver Maple suffered from a flush cut instead a proper pruning cut on a limb that was growing to far out. The flush cut effectively killed the tree’s ability to seal the wound allowing bacteria into the tree hence why only half of the tree is dead. If you want limbs trimmed off your tree(s) please call a professional or do your research on proper pruning cuts to prevent situations like this.

What likely happened is the cut was made using a dirty saw that had bacteria on it from a previous job that was immediately introduced as soon as the cut was made or it was done during the summer time when biotic(living organisms) such as bacteria or fungus’s were at there highest activity and entered through the wound.

Thankfully the customer was already not fond of the tree so no real loss for him😊 but this is a great example of how proper pruning makes a big difference

It brings a smile to my face everytime I see watch this chipper just suck in whole trees...granted they are small..whole trees..lol one day I'll run a 15 or 18" chipper but in the meantime I'm perfectly thankful for what I have now!!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of removing an uprooting tree that was right next to a chickencoop and also cleaning out this creekbed that the previous owner of the home left a bunch of tree debri in. We removed chicken coop tree and we got part of the debri out with the mini skid and for the big stuff we got in 18k pound mini excavator to clear the rest and get the creek flowing again. Took 2 loads of debri out of there...I crossed the scales @ 26,000 pounds on the second load which equals about 9,000lbs of debri. Another successful job and happy returning customer!

We dropped and stacked roughly 25 trees for a repeat customer in Carrollton today...it's was a long day as 1 guy didn't show up this morning but me and the Pink Panther still got it done💪
