Congratulations to John Ciabattari, Vice President of Ferreira Southern Divison-Hobe Sound, for becoming the Vice President of the AGC Florida East Coast Chapter. John and his fellow board members were installed on Thursday February 25th, 2021.

John joins a distinguished list of members who work in their spare time to promote the Chapter’s mission of fostering better relationships with private owners and public agencies, their architects and engineers and the general public, while encouraging methods to aide their members in doing business in the construction industry.

Today is and what better way to celebrate than to highlight our Southern Division!

In 2004, Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne struck Florida, and Ferreira joined forces with other contractors in cleanup efforts and emerged as Ferreira Southern based in Stuart.
Ferreira Southern specialized in sitework and paving, but in 2007, Ferreira Southern expanded our expertise to include marine work.

For over ten years, Ferreira has served the Florida Treasure Coast region and now has offices in Hobe Sound and in Miami.

The St. Lucie Fairgrounds, Equestrian, and Event Center is home to a variety of events ranging from large outdoor festivals to small private events.

Ferreira Construction Southern Division-Hobe Sound was awarded the contract and began work on the Fairgrounds.

Ferreira was responsible for site improvements and the creation of staging sites for storm recovery vehicles, equipment, and personnel. Additionally, Ferreira paved the areas so heavy vehicle loads could have a place to park.
