Meet Matt Hobbs, Owner of ARG

I’m proud to call Middle Tennessee home.

Growing up in Hohenwald gave me countless opportunities, and I’m grateful that it continues to do the same for my family and for this business.

In my early adult years, I worked several trades before settling into truck driving. Nearly a decade later, I found myself tired, burned out, and more than anything homesick.

That’s when I made the decision to start ARG Outdoor Services with the hope of building a living on my own terms and being home with the people who matter most.

I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for 11 years, and together we have two wonderful children. They’re the names and initials behind ARG. The three stars in our logo represent them, because this business is for them. Starting ARG gave them their husband and father back.

My work ethic was shaped early. I grew up helping my grandparents at their canoe rental, working alongside my dad on the family farm, and stocking shelves at a local grocery store through high school. Hard work has always been at the center of who I am.

I am also a real estate agent and plan to eventually become a developer/builder… dream big or go home!

Looking ahead, my goal is to continue building ARG into a long-term success by becoming the premier forestry-mulching company in Middle Tennessee while giving back to our community, friends, and neighbors.

I take pride in professionalism, communication, and customer satisfaction.

This business started as nothing more than a dream, and we continue to expand our services and grow our fleet of equipment with our customers in mind.

They all got to climb on the skid steer, ask questions and some of them got to go for a short ride!
