Just wanted to say that I am blessed, even when the chips are down and nothing is going right and I'm struggling as an owner. I am blessed because my kids don't know what it means to not have something. But I really wanted to just say that I was at the gas pump today, going broke like everybody else, getting just enough gas to get me through when a guy on the other side asked me if I wanted to buy his PS4. He said he tried to pawn it just to get some fuel and diapers for his kids, and I was hesitant at first. But then I realized how hard it is for a man to ask another man for help, and what I would want done for me when I asked. I could have said no, I didn't have it, which I wasn't lying, but I told him, 'Hey, I've got you, sir.' And the look on that man's face as I handed him back his stuff and I told him, 'No, you keep it, sir. I'm just paying it forward.' I don't tell this much, but so many times I have been the guy on the other side of the pump, wishing and begging someone would just ask if I needed some help because I was too afraid to ask, too prideful to ask. But in my short amount of time, I have realized sometimes you don't have something or know something because you didn't ask. I gave the man some gas to get home and told him to take care of his kids. 'When you can't find someone to be kind, be that kind person' - unknown.
