A historic property and a test of endurance made the Dead Last Ultra a natural fit for Colonial Restorations.

As a Title Sponsor, we’re proud to support this year’s race at Waters Farm, a historic farmstead dating back to 1757. Brad and three members of our team will also be taking on the challenge themselves.

One 4.167-mile loop every hour, for as long as they can keep going. Come watch it all unfold on Saturday, October 24th at 10am at Waters Farm in Sutton, MA.

Work is underway on an early-1800s barn in Buckland, MA, and this project has a unique connection to Colonial Restorations.

Brad’s father first looked at this barn nearly 15 years ago, and today, we have the opportunity to complete the restoration work. Despite its condition, the barn was exceptionally well built, making it a structure worth preserving.

We’re replacing the entire substructure with oak beams and floor joists, along with two traditional gunstock posts that will help support the heavy timber frame. Once the structural work is complete, new 2-inch plank flooring will finish the restoration.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, and we’ll be sharing more as this barn comes back together.

Brad, owner and CEO of Colonial Restorations, will be taking on this year’s race at Waters Farm in Sutton.

The format is a true test of endurance: one 4.167-mile loop, every hour, on the hour. There’s no set finish line or predetermined distance. Runners simply keep going for as long as they can.

Every antique home and barn has a history... and we'd say these are some pretty cool finds!

As we work on these buildings, we occasionally uncover pieces of their past… old radios, signs that tell part of the building's story, and decorations that have been tucked away for decades.

Some offer a glimpse into the people who once occupied or worked there, while others are directly connected to the property's history.

One of the best parts of our work is preserving the history of these homes while giving them the structural support to last another 100 years or more.

If you're having work done on your property, make sure the contractor you hired has a permit.
