Agricultural Drones Meet the Next Generation!

We had an incredible time hosting students from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown for a hands-on look at the future of precision agriculture!

Students got up close with our DJI Agras T50 and got a full walkthrough of our new trailer setup and on-site mixing system — the same rig we roll out for commercial spray operations across Pennsylvania. From the aircraft itself to how we prep, mix, and deploy in the field, the students saw the whole picture.

At Aerial Applications, our mission is simple: bring cutting-edge technology to traditional agriculture practices. Events like this remind us why that mission matters — inspiring the next wave of agricultural and aviation professionals right here in our own backyard.

❄️ Frost Seeding at West Wind Acres Farm ❄️

Started the day at 11°—cold enough that we had to keep the drone batteries warmed up by the generator exhaust just to stay operational.

Finished the day in true farming fashion… the last field needed pulled in and out with a loader.

Even with the latest in agricultural drone technology, you still can’t take the farming out of farming. 🌱🚜
