My client got these pictures and lights from restoration hardware. They decided to put the pictures up on this wall. I had to do a lot of measuring and math, to make sure everything looked good and symmetrical. I wired up the lights and can be turned on and off by a nearby switch.

I installed new smoke detectors. They have a back up 9volt battery. They are hardwired to the homes main electrical system. There is a 3rd red wire. This allows the other smoke detectors to “communicate” with one and other. So, if one goes off. The rest will as well. You can test this by pressing and holding the test button.

I installed a new chandelier where there was nothing there before. The ceiling box is rated for ceiling fans to hold the weight, without damaging or stressing the drywall. My client wanted it to hang pretty high. Usually it sits around 5’10” 5”8” from the floor to the chandelier.

I’ve installed several doorbell cameras. Some from Google or Ring. I also like the Reolink one as well. It can connect to a dvr with your security cameras or work stand alone as well. You can install an sd card for recording. No subscriptions. I like that. Here is a video of one connected the standard way by existing or none existing doorbell with a transformer powering it. Connected by WiFi. The other version is by Ethernet cable that is powered. It records on my clients dvr. With all his other security cameras. Both accessible anywhere.

I was hired to install cat wiring throughout my clients home. I wired the ends to wall plates in several locations to connect computers and other devices. I also ran wiring for access point locations around the home as well. All the wiring ended up in his closet where the network rack goes. Hot attic adds to the fun of the job.
