Children don’t always recognize the dangers of electricity, which is why conversations about electrical safety at home are so important. ⚡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Teach kids to stay away from downed power lines, avoid climbing trees near power lines, and never play around electrical equipment like substations or transformer boxes. Simple lessons today can help prevent serious accidents tomorrow.

Take a few minutes to talk with your children about staying safe around electricity, both indoors and outdoors.

6:40 PM Update - the transmission company has located a tree that fell into their 34.5kV line causing the outage.
