Developed by Fergus Brothers LLC’s , with design by Ed Sheehan of Interlock Architects and construction by Honolulu Builders, the team broke ground on the newest affordable housing development in Honolulu at 1518 Miller Street — bringing more safe, quality housing to our community.

The ground-up construction project features a three-story residential building 27 affordable units, includes 25 one-bedroom units and two studio units, ground-floor parking, and a community laundry facility.

Mahalo to the community partners, City officials, neighbors, and project team who helped bring this vision to life. We’re proud to be part of building more homes—and a stronger communities—for Hawaii.

Following the 2026 GCA Build Hawaii Awards this past month, we’re looking back at another project recognized at last year’s celebration.

Kapolei Harborside 1 received an honorable mention in the Building Construction category for projects between $10 million and $25 million.

Developed by the James Campbell Company and built by Honolulu Builders, the 102,545-square-foot Class A warehouse marks the first building in Hawaii’s largest active industrial subdivision. Strategically located near Kalaeloa Harbor in Kapolei, Oahu to support efficient distribution, the concrete tilt-up facility features 38-foot clear heights, 14 dock-high loading bays, structural steel roof framing, a TPO membrane roof, and premium aluminum architectural finishes.

In honor of the GCA Build Hawaii Awards this past weekend, we’re looking back at one of our award-winning projects.

Honolulu Builders was honored with the Award of Excellence (Building Construction: Under $10 Million) at the 2025 GCA Build Awards for the renovation of Manoa Marketplace.

Completed without any closures or utility disruptions, the renovation project included a new exterior façade system, railings, energy-efficient lighting, and improved pedestrian walkways, breathing new life into this neighborhood destination.
