Another job completed and back to work in less than 24 hours! 💪

We recently had this equipment trailer come into Southern Sky Sandblasting for a complete redeck and structural repairs.

This wasn’t just a matter of replacing a few boards. We wanted to make sure this trailer left our shop stronger and better than it arrived!

✅ Complete new wood deck, secured with twice as many screws as the factory originally used.

✅ Structural frame repairs — Three damaged crossmembers were cut out with a torch and replaced with heavier, oversized steel for added strength and durability.

✅ Less than 24-hour turnaround — We got this trailer repaired and back to its owner without unnecessary downtime!

This is a personal project but I wanted to share incase anyone has a need for a fish feeder to help grow their pond. Much heavier than what you can buy online. I can make this reach much further if desired and add gussett which will give it an industrial look.

I was asked this week what Southern Sky specializes in. The short answer is customer satisfaction. The long answer a healthy mix of welding, carpentry, fabrication, painting, and sandblasting.

 One of today’s projects involved mating an existing spline shaft with another gear set to regear a transmission for lower end torque. This required “out of the box thinking” to machine and keep such a high level of precision.

Another custom project completed by Southern Sky Sandblasting.

This timber frame water tank cover was designed and fabricated to provide long-lasting protection for the tank while adding a clean, rustic appearance to the property. We also formed and poured the concrete foundation to create a solid, level base for the tank.

What makes this structure unique is the traditional timber frame construction. Unlike standard stick framing, timber framing uses large exposed beams and joinery techniques that create a stronger structure with a timeless look and craftsmanship you simply do not see every day.
