Originally an upholstered chair that that the customer wanted converted to hand cane. New seat was created as well as the back. I have been caning since I was 16 and this was by far the hardest chair I've ever completed. It came out amazing so it was all worth it. Customer loved it!!

The top picture is of the 3 chairs brought in to replace the seats. The bottom picture is the completed seats. This is another type of weaving that is done. Gregory does this. Here he used natural rush which has to be kept wet to weave. The finished seat has different colors that you can't really see in the picture. He also does fiber rush seats. This is a man made paper product. He usually does the fiber rush. Then the seats have a sealer applied. Beautiful job Greg.
