How R8 Coatings got its start

R8 Coatings LLC got its start when the inventor of R8 Coat and CEO of R8 Coatings Doug Mohler got the contract to coat McDonald's restaurants. He developed a coating for their shingle roofs in a red color. He tweaked the formula to especially address metal roofs for livestock. This new Company came about while attending a kid’s baseball game where he sat next to Mike Yates who was then the Live Production Manager at Tyson Foods. It was very hot that day and Mike kept getting emergency calls from his growers that the chickens were too hot and some were dying. Making a long story short-----Mike explained the problem to Doug and Doug said I can solve that with my R8 Coat. It reflects 99% of the suns rays and makes it much cooler under the roof. Today Mike is our Senior Vice President and we are coating not only livestock roofs but businesses, trailer homes, houses and some inside coating like Hatcher machines.
