Power Outage Update – Westford Hill Area
A motor vehicle accident on Westford Hill has broken a utility pole and caused a power outage affecting a significant portion of Hodgdon. Our crews are currently isolating the Westford Hill Road section of the line so we can restore service to the remainder of Hodgdon as quickly as possible.
Customers located directly on Westford Hill will remain without power until the damaged pole can be replaced. Our team is working safely and efficiently to complete these repairs.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore service.

Power was restored at 9 am by New Brunswick Power. A big thanks to Versant Power as well as they had mobilized to assist HWC getting onto the emergency feed if necessary. It is much appreciated as they have multiple issues that they are dealing with on their system as well.

A tree was found on the 69Kv line in Woodstock. The switch feeding that line will be opened and NBP will attempt to energize the line. This should take place in about 1/2 hour by New Brunswick Power.

If that is unsuccessful with power restoration, we have already been in Contact with Versant Power to switch to the emergency backup supply with them.

The Power is currently off for the entire HWC system. The New Brunswick Power feed to Woodstock and to HWC is down. We do not have an estimated restoration time yet.

We are conducting repairs to our system as we had a electrical circuit damaged by the wind storm.

We are patrolling lines on our system and the New Brunswick Power feed. We would ask that if the public sees any lines down or trees on the line to please call and report to HWC personnel.

There are wide spread outage throughout the Region. Versant is reporting over 6,600 in Aroostook County off, Eastern Maine Electric is reporting 3,700 and NBP has close to 50,000 outages.
