We were ecstatic to participate in a garden seed giveaway during yesterday’s Seedtime and Harvest workshop! These seeds were donated to Adopt-A-Block by Walmart last year to be shared with our local citizens. I was permitted to take a bunch of these seeds to use for our seed Breaking Ground Annual Seed Swap and for my a Breaking Ground classes. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us to build our stock!
If you would like to participate in this seed swap, please remember that we need all submissions by May 1st (limit of 100 seed packets). Spring fever has hit and we’re ready to get planting!!!

Hello my fellow gardening enthusiasts!
My Breaking Ground classes are attempting to sponsor another quarter project and we would love your participation! We are hosting our second annual Breaking Ground Spring Seed Swap! Our intentions for this project are to allow an exchange of seed packets for each participant that will include a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. In order for your seeds to arrive in a timely manner, I will ask that you submit a collection of your own seed packets (up to 100 envelopes) by Monday, May 1st. Please allow my classes two weeks to collate them, sort them, and distribute them. I do need you to fill out the following form to include with your order so we can be sure not to give your own seeds back to you, and that we know to whom and to where they need to go. If you want your seed packet to be mailed to you, there will be a $10.00 charge to cover the costs of shipping and packaging. Otherwise, this is a free event. If you do not have any seeds that you wish to trade, but you would still like to participate, you can purchase a single envelope of up to 30 seed packets for $15. Please consult the list of rules listed in my next post. We ask for your patience as we organize and prepare for this exciting event. We hope you will join us!
