That brown ring on your ceiling? If there's an AC unit or air handler in the attic above it, that's your summer culprit, Houston.

Your air conditioner pulls a huge amount of moisture out of our humid air, and it all drains through one little condensate line. Over the summer that line clogs with algae, and when it backs up, the water goes straight into your ceiling.
