Houston's latest regional park is now open in Southeast Houston! The Hill at Sims is located along a 20-mile greenway which follows Sims Bayou through Southwest Houston. The park serves the Sunnyside, South Acres, and Crestmont Park with access to open space and links pedestrians to local parks, schools and community facilities while integrating necessary drainage retention into the landscape. A major component is The Nature Pavilion, designed by Studio Red, an approximately 2,000 SF outdoor pavilion with a 360-degree view of Houston, a learning/teaching area, restrooms, a cistern, and seating areas. Take a look at the recently completed Crain-Galloway Center for the Arts at Episcopal High School. Designed by Studio Red Architects, the latest expansion of their campus includes both the renovation of existing facilities and new construction to include over 60,000 sf of instructional and performance spaces. The project provides space for all areas of the arts program including 2D and 3D studio arts, photography, film, broadcast journalism, theater, dance and music. The building also includes a new 300-seat Versatile Performance Venue as well as a music ensemble rehearsal room, studio spaces, and faculty offices.
