Jon from east Texas brought his 87 GN to me to start work to rebuild his car mechanically .
Theme fast street car: 500-700rwhp
The start of the project. The engine will be built soon so the surrounding components should match.
He opted to -
Do a full stainless exhaust:
TA performance replacement headers
RJC downpipe
GN 1 test pipe
GN1 3” split cat back exhaust
GBodyparts cat/ exhaust hanger

Full fuel system :
Racetronix PTFE line kit
W/ custom routing/ hook up
525 lph “hellcat” pump/stainless sender
Racetronix fuel rails
Racetronix billet fuel regulator
Gen 2 Hotwire kit
Kept the #52 lb injectors till motor is built

Alright, things are rolling at the shop again after vacation. Jose had brought his car in at the beginning of the year for a 5 hour check out . Car didn’t want to run. After check out , I discovered a bent valve . So I got that fixed and Jose decided to do some solid work on the car. It had an old grey box fast ecu from 25 years ago and he wanted something up to date and keep a stock type theme for the car.
Great results!!
Here is the list of upgrades

Holley Dominator kit**
- comp 212/212 roller cam
- 135lb comp valve springs set up at 160lb

Getting caught up on here . Working on 2 big jobs . One bigger than the other. Got the smaller one done . ** Serious upgrades- very clean . Julio brought his 84 GN (87 drive train) back in for a total Holley upgrade . Dominator efi w/ remote coils, Boost control, methanol control, 12.3 Prodash . Pulled the intake , all accessories, intercooler pipes, intake pipe for a total engine powder coat make over. Turbo cover ceramic. Turned out great! , Wilwood big brakes 12.88 up front and 12.15 out back. Big job considering they don’t make a correct kit for a Gbody. But for a 12 bolt. But made it work. With the hydroboost the car stops on a dime. Very impressive then the list of secondary installs . Boost liner hoodliner, 250 amp tuff stuff alternator w/ custom feed cable, lt4 starter , RJC billet pulleys , new ps pump, , injector harness, blow valve off install, radiator billet overflow reservoir and install, battery, window turbo racer, plus more!

More th2004r action last week. David W brought his transmission from a 87 Buick GN in. Complaint was : flair in 3rd. By the time I got it apart , the internals were all toast. I’ve seen this many times were there is a known problem and it left to fester. Well good news I got it work out for Dave & his son . Great people and I was happy to help out. It was a previous rebuilt by a “known “ Buick builder. Looked to be one of there entry level builds . I upgraded to one of my stage 2 builds with new quality parts and a new lock up non- billet 9.75 2800-3000 converter. Good stuff. Another Buick back on the road, much thanks.
