At PBI, our team is always looking for ways to improve efficiency and support better project planning. 🚀 One of the ways we’re doing that is through the use of tools like LIFT and SketchDeckAI in our estimating processes.

By using AI-powered technology to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks, our estimating teams can save time, reduce errors, and increase bidding capacity while staying focused on the work that requires experience and attention to detail. Tools like LIFT help streamline material counting and create more consistent workflows across projects. 💡

Some projects stand out not just for their size, but for the level of coordination and teamwork 🤝 it takes to bring them together. The Met2 building, now known as the Wells Fargo Center in Downtown Miami, was definitely one of those projects.

PBI played a key role in the construction of the 50‑story office tower, which included 31 steel‑framed levels totaling 5,651 tons across more than 700,000 square feet. The project also included a JW Marriott Hotel and podium structure; all built within an active downtown environment surrounded by heavy traffic and a nearby public transit rail system 🚇.

From complex crane coordination and detailed steel er****on sequencing to the installation of massive transfer trusses supporting a ballroom and rooftop pool, this project required precision, planning, and experienced crews every step of the way 🏗️.

Our team was honored to be part of a project that continues to stand out in Miami today.

Our internal audit process is designed to help identify risks early, reinforce safe practices, and support our ongoing commitment to zero accidents and injuries.

Our team regularly audits everything from PPE and ladders to power tools, electrical equipment, cranes, rigging, welding operations, and fire prevention measures. We also focus heavily on risk awareness, proper lifting techniques, body positioning, and daily equipment inspections to help keep our jobsites as safe as possible. 🔧

For us, these audits are about more than checking boxes. They’re about protecting our people and making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.

The PBI team recently volunteered at the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Community Packing Party, helping put together 1,000 HOPE Kits for those facing breast cancer. 🎗️

Big things are happening in Rockdale, Texas, and PBI is excited to be part of it. 🌞🏗️

We’re proud to support the new T1 Energy solar cell manufacturing facility, a major redevelopment project that will help strengthen domestic solar manufacturing in the United States.

Planned for the former ALCOA site near Rockdale, this facility is expected to become one of the largest solar manufacturing plants in the country and create up to 1,800 manufacturing jobs in the region.

Projects of this size take experienced teams and strong coordination, and PBI is proud to be part of a project that supports growth and continued investment in American manufacturing. ✅

We’re excited to introduce Wayne, PBI’s new Director of Safety. 👷‍♂️

Wayne brings more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, with a career that began at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and later led him to serve as a safety specialist and regional safety director for the U.S. Navy’s 6th Fleet. His passion for safety comes from real firsthand experiences early in his career that showed him how important proper protection and awareness are on the job.

In his role at PBI, Wayne is focused on helping prevent injuries and building a culture where safety goes beyond compliance. He’s committed to helping teams look out for one another and understand the “why” behind every safety practice.

Wayne encourages those entering the industry to ask questions, stay alert, and never take shortcuts when it comes to safety. For him, it’s about protecting not just yourself, but everyone around you. 🦺

Outside of work, Wayne enjoys staying active, spending time working in his yard, and cooking meals inspired by his roots in Hawaii. 🌺

We’re proud to have Wayne on our team and look forward to the impact he’ll make at PBI!
