Steven Craney, Partner and Managing Principal, Jason Summers, Principal, and Julie O'Dwyer, Director of Client / OEM Relations, recently had the opportunity to experience one of the automotive industry’s most celebrated traditions at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Set along the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links, the event brought together an impressive collection of vintage and collector automobiles, with luxury automotive brands showcasing their heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation throughout the course.

As a firm deeply rooted in automotive design, it was a unique opportunity for our team to experience the history and evolution of the brands and industry we work alongside every day.

Thank you to Dave Cantin Group for the invitation and hospitality. We enjoyed being part of an incredible weekend celebrating the automotive community at Pebble Beach.

Taking shape in Boerne, Texas.

Goree is proud to be working with Toyota of Boerne on the remodel of its existing 82,517-square-foot dealership. With construction well underway, we’re excited to share a look at the vision for the renovated facility alongside the progress happening on site.

Completion is anticipated by the end of 2026, and we look forward to seeing the transformation continue to take shape.

Last Friday, some of our Goree and Abel Design Group teams traded in the office for some quality time with a few four-legged friends at the Houston Humane Society!

With plenty of animal lovers across our offices, this was an especially fun way to spend time together while giving back to our community. Our team helped walk and provide enrichment for dogs, spent time with the cats throughout the shelter, stopped by to give the horses some attention, and bagged 156 bags of dog food for the Pet Pantry program.

Thank you to the Houston Humane Society for welcoming our team and giving us the opportunity to support the animals in their care and the families they serve. We’re grateful for an afternoon well spent!

GoreeWhitfield is continuing its partnership with Galpin Motors through the design of a new 42,500-square-foot Mazda facility.

Adding to our growing automotive portfolio in Southern California, the new facility represents another opportunity for our team to bring extensive dealership design experience to the Galpin Motors portfolio.

Construction is nearing completion at Rushcreek Business Park.

Developed in partnership with our client, Crow Holdings Industrial, this industrial warehouse development includes two warehouse buildings that are now entering the final stages of construction.

Designing within context requires understanding the unique characteristics of a location.

While these projects represent the same automotive brand, their design responses are influenced by the environments in which they operate. Climate, regional architecture, community character, and user expectations all contribute to how a project is experienced and integrated into its surroundings.

From the larger-scale, destination-oriented environment of Sugar Land to the more intimate, community-focused character of San Luis Obispo, each market presents unique opportunities and considerations. Combined with the requirements of different Porsche facility models, these influences help shape design solutions that respond to their surroundings while delivering a consistent brand experience.

Thoughtful design begins with understanding the character of a place.

From local regulations and community expectations to pedestrian connectivity and public spaces, the surrounding context influences how projects are planned, experienced, and ultimately integrated into their communities. The design response extends beyond the building itself to strengthen connections to the surrounding neighborhood and create a destination that feels rooted in its environment.

Through an elevated public courtyard, integrated landscaping, and a sculptural art installation inspired by the movement and history of the automobile, the project contributes to the broader streetscape while celebrating the unique identity of its location. Situated along historic Route 66, the design acknowledges the corridor's automotive heritage while supporting Pasadena's vision for a more walkable, connected urban environment.

When architecture responds to its surroundings, it creates more than a building; it creates meaningful connections between people, place, and experience.
