From Utility Eyesore to Custom Poolside Screening 🌿

These homeowners had a common problem: large AC units and generators that were necessary—but definitely not what they wanted to look at while relaxing in their pool just a few feet away.

Rather than using a standard fence or prefabricated screen, we designed a solution specifically for the space.

Our in-house welders custom-fabricated these sleek black planter boxes and screening frames, which we paired with dense artificial boxwood panels to provide immediate, year-round coverage. We then planted natural English ivy in the planter boxes, allowing it to soften the clean lines of the structure and drape naturally over the edges as it grows.

The result is a functional utility screen that feels like an intentional part of the landscape design—not something added simply to hide equipment.

🏆 From Transformation to Yard of the Month
One of the most rewarding parts of landscape design is watching a project mature over time.
When we first arrived at this home, the landscape needed new definition, improved structure, and a fresh vision. We began by carefully pruning mature trees, redesigning the planting beds, improving the layout, and installing a landscape designed to complement both the home and the existing canopy.
