Every remodeling project has its surprises! Sometimes, what we uncover behind the walls is just as important as the finished space.

During a recent kitchen and bathroom remodel on a home originally built in 1938, our team discovered that the house still had its original knob-and-tube electrical wiring. While this type of wiring was common when the home was built, it is now outdated and can present safety concerns, particularly as modern homes place much greater demands on their electrical systems.

Rather than simply moving forward with the planned remodel, our team worked with the homeowners to address the issue properly. After discussing the findings and options, the homeowners chose to move forward with a change order to replace the home's existing knob-and-tube wiring with modern wiring.

While an unexpected electrical upgrade wasn't part of the original plan, addressing it now means the homeowners can move forward with greater peace of mind, and enjoy their newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms with a safer, more modern electrical system behind the walls.

This is one of the reasons we believe remodeling is about more than what you can see. Our team looks beyond the finishes and fixtures to identify potential issues that could affect the safety, functionality, and longevity of your home.

Apparently, it’s kinda chic to have a home you never want to leave. 😉🏡
Custom homes, thoughtful remodels, beautiful details + a team to help you take care of it all. We’d have to agree.

LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE 💙
We believe loving where you live isn’t just about updated finishes or pretty spaces (although we love those too 😉). It’s about creating rooms that fit your lifestyle, your hobbies, and the way your family actually lives.

One of our favorite recent projects does just that! A client who turned part of their home into a fully customized indoor batting cage and golf simulator. Instead of commuting to practice or the course, they brought the experience home. Now practice nights, family competitions, and weekend fun all happen under one roof. That’s what “Love Where You Live” really means: designing spaces that feel personal, functional, and uniquely yours!

Maybe for you it’s:
🏡 A kitchen built for hosting
🎥 A media room for movie nights
🧺 A laundry room that actually makes life easier
🏌️ A golf simulator or hobby space
🌿 An outdoor living area ready for summer evenings

If there’s a space in your house that isn’t serving you anymore, maybe this is the season to reimagine it. Let’s create something you’ll love walking into every single day.
Ready to fall back in love with your home? Give us a call!
