Completed in 1968, Sharpstown Junior High School reflects the priorities of its time, with durable, efficient spaces designed to support traditional classroom instruction and a rapidly growing student population.
Today, schools like Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School take a more holistic approach, combining flexible learning environments, abundant natural light, integrated technology, enhanced security, and spaces that support academics, the arts, athletics, and student well-being. Together, these elements create campuses designed for learning both inside and beyond the classroom.
While educational environments continue to evolve, one thing remains the same: thoughtful design begins with understanding the needs of students, educators, and the communities they serve.
