Last week, our Keystone Structural team tackled a mat pour at 2811 Kirby, placing 2,600 cubic yards of concrete.

A few numbers from the day:
• 1.3 million pounds of rebar
• 292 concrete trucks
• 3 pump trucks
• Up to 375 cubic yards placed per hour

Big pours like this take careful planning, coordination, and teamwork. Proud of our crew for getting it done!

We were impressed with the way you connected your classroom learning to real-world projects, especially in structural concrete. Your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and teamwork made a real impact. Wishing you the best as you take these skills and experiences into your future career!

We asked Frank what one of the best parts of working with Keystone this summer was: “It was interesting to see how concepts I had already been exposed to applied to much larger and more complex structural systems. Being able to connect that knowledge to the drawings I was working with and then see the same systems being constructed in the field gave me a much better understanding of structural concrete construction.”
