Today, 25 years later, we once again remember those heartbreaking images of September 11, 2001—images forever etched into the memory of the American people and the world.
As we remember the attack on the World Trade Center, feelings of pain, sorrow, and outrage return. But we also remember the extraordinary courage of those who, in the midst of chaos, risked and gave their lives trying to save others.
Today, we remember more than just the tragedy. We remember the victims, their families, the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and ordinary citizens who showed us that even in one of our darkest moments, the very best of humanity can still shine through.
Twenty-five years later, their lives remain in our hearts and in our memory.
