We're family owned and honest. We don't have a dedicated sales staff. We have permanent employees perform the installations, we DO NOT sub-contract out our jobs to contract labor, like our big name competitors. We make sure to send the appropriate sized crew for the job. When the labor gets sub-contracted out the foreman thinks he can make two or three times the money by eliminating necessary workmen from the job. It usually doesn't work out, sometimes it does, either way you are paying for a larger crew but the installer is gambling with your quality.
On most projects with us YOU WON'T PAY UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE, or if it's a large project we ask for progress payments for only COMPLETED WORK ONLY. We have been around since 1976 and are not going anywhere. So we won't disappear halfway through a project, or with your down payment.
Don't be seduced by 5, 7, 10 year warranties either. They do no good when they have built in loopholes. Ask them to define substrate issues. Ask them if they check for existing substrate issues before the installation. Ask them if substrate issues are covered. Ask them how they determine if product failure was caused by those substrate issues or by poor workmanship. Don't accept vague answers. While your at it, ask the salesman if he knows the names of the foremen, finishers, and general labor that will most likely install the work...last names too.
We'll give you a 2 to 5 year warranty, and we even offer a limited lifetime warranty on certain products. If it's done right, maintained properly, not abused or used in a manner in which it wasn't intended, then it should last. However, if during the estimate process we find, or see something that we know just won't work, then we will politely tell you that our products are not a good option. Sure, we can always do some additional work to make them a good option, but we'll let you know the extra expense, so you can determine if it is worth it to you.
Finally, if we give you a price THAT'S IT. Unless you make a change, add or reduce quantity once we begin, the quote we give you is the price you pay. There are a few things that can pop up and require an additional fee, like pipes, wires, or drains below ground, that we may have to move on some projects, but we'll let you know about those possibilities beforehand. In other words, if I missed it on the quote, you shouldn't be punished for it. That's where my experience benefits me, and protects you.
We would be very happy to perform work for you, but even if we don't, I hope we have informed you a little, so feel free to call us and ask questions and enjoy the pictures of some of our work.
