Winter Storm Fern is gone, but the cold temperatures are here to stay.

When winter temps drop, commercial roofs take on more stress than many building owners realize.

Ice and extreme cold can cause:
- Thermal contraction that leads to cracks in membranes, flashing failures, and separated seams
- Added weight loads from snow and ice accumulation, stressing the roof structure
- Freeze–thaw cycles that allow small amounts of moisture to expand, turning minor issues into major leaks
- Brittle materials that are more susceptible to damage from foot traffic or falling debris

The challenge is that much of this damage isn’t visible until temperatures rise, leaving you with costly repairs.
