Top-notch workmanship, on time, and a fair price — Tim says Danny gets all his business.

Thank you, Tim! Huge shout-out to Danny for navigating a tough upstairs setup, pointing Tim to the right equipment, and installing it with care. That's the neighbor-level service we're proud of.

🏡 The name may be the same—but is the ownership?

An HVAC company can be sold to a larger corporation or private equity investment group and still keep its familiar name and branding. That can make a change in ownership easy to miss.

“Family founded” tells you how a business started. “Family owned” tells you who owns it today.

If supporting an independently family-owned business matters to you, here are three simple ways to check:

🔎 Search the company’s name along with “acquired,” “acquisition,” or “private equity.” Look for company announcements about ownership changes.

🌐 Read its About Us page and check for references or links to a parent company.

💬 Ask directly: “Is your company still independently family owned, or is it owned or backed by an investment group?”

Every company should earn your trust through its work—and you deserve to know who you’re doing business with.

At S.M.L. Heating and Air, we’re proud to be family owned and operated. Thank you for supporting our family’s business and trusting us with your family’s comfort. ❤️

Right on time and ready for heating season. 🔥

Thank you to our neighbor who left this 5-star review! Shout-out to Danny for getting out there quickly and giving that furnace a good check before the cold sets in. If your heat hasn't been looked at yet this fall, give us a call.

The part of an install most folks never look at is the part we care about most. 🔧

Neat, sealed connections, a drain line routed the right way, and enough room left around the equipment that it's easy to service for years to come. It takes a little longer to do it this way, and it's worth it.

Treated like it's going in our own home.

A little worship on the worksite! 🎶🙌

That's our Christian on a new construction job, humming "Amazing Grace" with a song on his heart! ❤️

We love the joy he brings to the S.M.L. Heating & Air family. Keep singing, Christian, you're helping make that house feel like a home already! 🏡🔧

At S.M.L, our team is family, literally! 💜 HUGE shout out to our Lead Technician, and our son, Christian Matias!

Christian has been part of our team since January 2024, and his hard work and dedication show up on every single job. He's earned Coleman Certified Expert (CCE) status, he's EPA certified, and he's completed multiple other trainings and certificates along the way, always working to be the best he can be for our customers.

Christian, thank you for giving every job your very best and for taking such good care of the people we serve. We're so grateful to have you on our team, and we're so proud of the amazing son you are, and of the man you are at work, at Calvary Chapel SML, and in our Smith Mountain Lake community.

Thank you for all you do, Christian! We love you.
