🦟 Dengue isn’t just something that happens somewhere else. It’s happening right here in our local communities.
And that’s exactly why mosquito control shouldn’t start after mosquitoes become a noticeable problem.
One story recently hit especially close to home for The Mosquito Man LLC. A longtime customer had stopped mosquito service after years of not really having a mosquito problem anymore. Unfortunately, their son later became one of the local dengue cases — and the family called to restart service.
That doesn’t mean mosquito treatment can guarantee that an illness won’t occur. But it IS an important reminder of why prevention and consistency matter.
Mosquitoes can breed in surprisingly small amounts of standing water — gutters, flowerpots, buckets, toys, birdbaths and places around the yard you may never notice.
That’s also why we use In2Care® Mosquito Stations as part of our approach. Instead of only targeting mosquitoes you see flying around, the system is designed to attract egg-laying female mosquitoes and help target both adult mosquitoes and developing larvae — even extending its effect to other breeding sites.
And remember: mosquitoes don't recognize property lines.
Reducing mosquito populations takes all of us doing our part — eliminating standing water, protecting ourselves from bites and staying proactive instead of waiting until there's a problem.
