We looked at a home this week where the homeowner was still experiencing water issues around a dormer.

The challenge wasn't that nobody had tried to fix it. In fact, repairs had already been made. But when we inspected the area, we found torn shingles that had been sealed together with caulk, additional caulking around the siding, and several details that still allowed water to work its way into places it shouldn't.

The reality is that water management isn't about adding more caulk. It's about proper flashing, proper clearances, and making sure every component works together to move water away from the home.

In this case, the dormer siding should have been installed with proper flashing behind it and adequate clearance above the roofline so water can drain freely and do what it's designed to do.

We understand how difficult it can be for homeowners to know who to trust when a problem keeps coming back.

That's why we've spent more than 30 years focused on siding, windows, and doors. We believe the best repair isn't the quickest fix—it's finding the source of the problem and correcting it the right way.

A little behind the scenes from Oklahoma storm season.

Insurance adjustments are rolling in fast, phones are ringing, and “busy” feels like an understatement right now. We wrote 17 siding quotes last week alone… whew.

This photo is one of many conversations happening right now — coordinating with roofing companies, checking storm damage, and helping homeowners figure out next steps after hail and wind.

That’s Oklahoma this time of year. Things move quickly.
