Showed up to this site for a scheduled epoxy coating installation.... This is where I fully admit to being a bad salesman, but a honest businessman. We could've just installed the epoxy coatings and taken the money and ran... And then in a few short years pulled all those nice coated slats out to replace them.

After discussing with the building owner we did a concrete based patch job which is more of a short term fix but a far more cost effective fix. Save the money now, get a few more years out of the slats and beams then use the money you saved towards a full replacement when it's needed.

Scroll through the pictures if you dare....

Slats were in need of replacing as well but they were not nearly as scary as the beams were underneath! Literally rebar hanging out the bottoms of a majority of the beams throughout the entire building.

Avoid the catastrophe and have that inspection done sooner than later!

A question I get quite often... Can we install epoxy in the cold winter months. It's a pretty simple answer, yes as long as the slats are warm enough.

One way to look at it, use a few extra gallons of propane now to heat the building a little warmer for a couple days, in turn you avoid the extra wear on the slats which ultimately will cost you more in patching or replacement.

We exclusively use the industry leader Vantek products in patching and epoxy work. Tested and proven in livestock buildings to last longer.
