This customer had old distribution panels that were installed in the 1960’s. Breakers were starting to go bad and they do not manufacture new breakers to fit this distribution anymore.

We ordered two new 400 amp distributions for this customer. The challenge here is the new distributions are more compact than the old. This lead us to get creative in getting the existing conduits into the new distributions. After lots of planning and prepping this is what we came up with.

The 2024 code also required us to add 400 amp emergency disconnects on the exterior of the building for each distribution.

Progression on a 400 amp feed through panel install.

This takes planning from pre-slab unground work to completion
-Bringing conduits up in exact locations
-Knocking out holes in metal gutters and panelboards allowing for holes to line up perfectly.
-Cutting conduits to exact lengths allowing cans to be plumb and level

This manufactured home had its electrical service on a rotted wood post that was 1 foot off the ground. It was also powering the home with a heavy duty cord on the ground.

We came in and raised the meter socket up to a code acceptable height. Mounted it on a 4x4 steel post and ran conduit to the home. This service is safer and will have more longevity.

New addition going in on this home. Existing 100 amp panel was too small for the new loads being added. We dug up the existing wires, spliced them with a UL listed underground waterproof splice, and ran them through and existing basement ceiling to feed the new 200 amp panel. We then sub fed the existing panel off of the new 200 amp panel to power the existing circuits in the home. We made straight cuts in the drywall along the floor joist to keep the repair easy for the the drywallers.

Trenched in power for some duplexes going up in David City. Meter socket was installed at the back of the lot by the city. This allowed us to run direct bury cable to the home and transition over to conduit when entering the home. Conduit is necessary due to it being under the concrete slab. Stubbed up the conduit in the garage right where the panel will go.

Built this 12’ wide by 10’ stand for a 1000 amp service. We used 16’ 4x4 steel post painted black, sunk them 6’ into the ground, and concreted into the ground.

The interiors of this distribution center have been on back order for over 10 months. We came up with a temporary solution to power it up. Allowing the customer to open up the RV park.
