🧊🥶 YOUR AC ISN’T SUPPOSED TO MAKE ICE!

Your AC might be working overtime… and somehow your solution is getting colder and colder. ❄️😂

If you see ice on your indoor coil or refrigerant lines, don’t assume your AC is just “working really well.”

🚨 A frozen coil can be caused by:
❄️ A dirty/clogged air filter
💨 Poor airflow
🧊 Low refrigerant
🛠️ A dirty evaporator coil
⚡ Blower or other mechanical problems

And here’s the important part:

Turning the thermostat colder is NOT going to fix it. 😅

In fact, continuing to run an AC with a frozen coil can potentially turn a small problem into a much bigger repair.

👉 If you find ice on your AC, turn the system off and let it thaw. Then have a professional diagnose WHY it froze in the first place.

Because your AC should be making cold air… not an indoor glacier. 😂🧊

📞 Don’t let a frozen coil turn into a frozen wallet! Call us on (267)435-3935 now ‼️

Looking for an easy way to save some money on your heating or cooling bills?

Ducts are used to distribute conditioned air throughout houses with forced-air heating and cooling systems. In typical houses, about 20 percent of the air that moves through the duct system is lost due to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts.

🧠 YOUR HVAC HAS A MEMORY…

Okay, maybe your HVAC doesn’t actually have a brain. 😂
But it definitely remembers when it’s been working overtime!

Think about it…

🥵 Running constantly because your home never seems to reach the set temperature.

🔄 Short-cycling — turning on and off over and over again.

🫠 A clogged filter forcing your system to work harder just to move air.

💧 Ignoring that little water leak because “it’s probably nothing.”

🔊 That weird noise that you’ve been pretending not to hear for the last three months. 👀

All of these can put unnecessary stress on your HVAC system and may contribute to premature wear or bigger repairs down the road.

And here’s the thing:

Your HVAC usually gives you clues BEFORE it gives up.

A change in airflow.
A strange sound.
Longer run times.
Uneven temperatures.
Higher energy bills.
Ice where there shouldn’t be ice.

🚨 Don’t wait for your HVAC to go from “I’m struggling” to “I QUIT.”

Give your system a little attention now, so you’re not meeting your HVAC technician at the worst possible moment. 😅

🕵️ Let’s find out what your HVAC is trying to tell you.

🧪 TRY THIS SIMPLE HVAC EXPERIMENT TONIGHT! 🌡️🏠

Want to know if your AC might be working harder than it should?

Here’s your mission:

👉 Set your thermostat to your normal comfortable temperature.

👉 Pay attention to how long your AC runs before it shuts off.

👉 Then notice what happens afterward.

If your AC runs for a while, shuts off, and cycles normally — great! 👍

But if it seems to RUN… AND RUN… AND RUN… without reaching the temperature you set… 👀

🚨 Your HVAC may be trying to tell you something.

It could be related to:
❄️ Restricted airflow
🧊 Low refrigerant
🌬️ Ductwork problems
🏠 Poor insulation or excessive heat gain
⚙️ A system that needs service
🌡️ Thermostat or control issues

And here’s the important part:

Don’t automatically assume that “running constantly” means your AC is broken. On extremely hot days, a properly functioning system may run for long periods.

But if your home isn’t getting comfortable, your AC runs constantly even in moderate weather, or you notice a change from how it normally operates — that’s when it’s worth having it checked.

🕵️ Your HVAC gives clues. You just have to notice them.

🕵️‍♂️❄️ CSI: THE CASE OF THE “SWEATING” AC 💧

🚨 We have a new HVAC mystery.

You walk into your home and discover:

💧 Water around the indoor AC unit
💧 A wet spot on the floor
💧 Water dripping from a vent
💧 Ice forming on the AC coil
💧 Your system running longer than usual

The question is: WHO—or WHAT—is responsible? 🕵️‍♂️

🔎 CLUE #1: Your AC is leaking water

Possible suspects include a clogged condensate drain, a dirty air filter, a frozen coil, or a problem with the condensate pump.

🔎 CLUE #2: You see ice on the system

That’s NOT your AC making extra cold air. 🥶
Restricted airflow, a dirty filter, or certain system problems can cause the coil to freeze.

🔎 CLUE #3: The AC keeps running but your house isn’t getting comfortable

Your system may be struggling with airflow, a frozen coil, refrigerant-related issues, or another underlying problem.

🔎 CLUE #4: There’s water where it shouldn’t be

That water has to come from somewhere. Ignoring it can potentially lead to water damage or a much bigger HVAC problem.

👨‍🔧 THE VERDICT:

Your AC shouldn’t be leaking, freezing, or constantly struggling to keep your home comfortable.

And if you find water around your HVAC system, don’t just put a towel underneath it and hope for the best. 😅

📞 Call Comfort Zone HVAC at (267) 435-3935

We’ll investigate the evidence, find the culprit, and help get your comfort back. 🔧❄️
