Just wrapped up a porch restoration on this late-19th-century Queen Anne Victorian. The owners have done an incredible job preserving and restoring the home with period-correct finishes while thoughtfully incorporating modern amenities. They trusted us to restore the porch’s finish while preserving its historic character and originality.
This project was a true labor of craftsmanship. We invested over 100 man-hours in the railings alone. Every spindle was individually scraped, filled, sanded, spot-primed, sanded again, and finished in a traditional three-color paint scheme.
Homes like this were originally built by master craftsmen who created intricate architectural details almost entirely by hand. It was a privilege to contribute to the preservation of a piece of local history and help ensure this remarkable home can be appreciated for generations to come.
Projects like these remind us that painting isn’t just about applying a coating…it’s about protecting craftsmanship, preserving history, and honoring the work of those who came before us.
