So happy for our brother and sister! We look forward to viewing some beautiful woodworking creations in the near future!
We’re back. 🌿🪵
It feels good to finally say that.
The Carpenter’s Son Woodworks is back, but this time with a little more purpose behind where we’re headed.
For those who are new here, we’re Travis and Amber.
Travis is the craftsman. He’s the one in the shop turning a stack of lumber into something meant to live in a home for decades. He has always had a gift for working with his hands, solving problems, and building things the way they ought to be built.
Amber is behind the business and the brand, handling the ideas, design, marketing, communication, and all the pieces that happen outside the shop.
And somewhere between the two of us is The Carpenter’s Son Woodworks.
We’re setting out to build more than furniture.
We want to create custom furniture, built-ins, and heirloom pieces that feel like they belong in the homes they’re made for. Pieces that gather families around them, become part of everyday life, and are still telling stories years from now.
We’re also excited about a new chapter for the business: partnering with contractors and builders to bring custom woodwork into renovations, remodels, and new projects.
Our roots are here in Appalachia, where making something well, using what you have, working with your hands, and building things to last have never really gone out of style.
And our faith is at the heart of the name The Carpenter’s Son. It reminds us that the work of our hands matters, that craftsmanship has purpose, and that whatever we build should be done with care.
So this is us opening the shop doors again.
There will be sawdust. There will be works in progress. There will probably be plans that change halfway through. 😄 And hopefully, there will be a whole lot of beautiful things built along the way.
We’d love for you to follow along.
