As this weather moves from chilly to freezing here are a few preventives you take to keep your pipes from freezing:

1)Let your faucet drip overnight
2)Leave open your cabinet doors
3)Disconnect water hose from outside faucets

In the event you do have a pipe burst it's always good to know where your nearest water shut off is. Your water meter box has one which can be turn off using either channel locks or a meter key. Having a shut off closer and more easily accessible is always a better option though. Give us a call and we'll install one closer to your home that can easily be shut off by hand.
