Disaster Assistance:��Individuals can file a claim with FEMA at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ or call 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA).��Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) are being set up to assist in person with applying for assistance, ask questions and learn about available resources. No appointment is needed. The closest DRC is located at:�Spring Branch Family Development Center�8575 Pitner Road�Houston, TX 77080�However, Walker County has requested a DRC be located in Huntsville. As soon as a location is ready, we will let you know where and operating hours.��Walker County has been declared to receive Small Business Administration Disaster Loans. These are low interest loans that can assist with a businesses physical repairs, economic injury and home disaster loans. ��Walker County OEM has clean up kits, tarps, rakes and shovels that you can pick up to assist with cleaning out your home or business. We also have clean out teams in Walker County that are contacting individuals that need assistance with cleaning out their homes.
