🎉 CASiversary Alert! 🎉

Two years ago, Chandler walked through our doors with exactly zero days of HVAC experience.

What he did have was a background in public service, a strong work ethic, and the ability to connect with just about anyone. After spending five years at HEMSI and serving with the Madison Police Department, helping people was already second nature. The HVAC part? We could teach that.

So we did.

Through our in-house apprenticeship program, local HVAC training, and plenty of hands-on experience, Chandler learned the trade from the ground up. Along the way, he discovered that maintenance was where he really thrived. After nearly two years in Residential Service, he recently made the move to Commercial Maintenance, where he's continuing to grow his skills.

These days, when he's not keeping equipment running smoothly, you'll probably find him at CrossFit, spending time with his new bride, or proving that learning a trade from scratch is still a pretty good way to build a career.

We're excited to see where the next chapter takes him.

This condenser has not known peace.

Pollen, leaves, cottonwood, whatever that bug was... and it just kept taking hits.

Eventually, all that debris builds up and blocks airflow through the coil, and that means higher operating temperatures, lower efficiency, and more strain on the system.

Or, in non-HVAC terms:

Your AC is trying, bestie, but it can't cool your house and cosplay as a lint trap at the same time. Get your maintenance done, fam.

🎉 CASiversary Alert! 🎉

Today we're celebrating 12 years with our Residential Service, Plumbing, Electrical, Warehouse, and Call Center GM, Jeremy! (That was a mouthful.)

One of the things that makes Jeremy's story so special is that he started right here as a helper. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to learning the trade, he continued to grow, taking on new challenges and responsibilities along the way. Twelve years later, he's proof of what can happen when someone is willing to put in the work and keep moving forward.

Leadership seems to come naturally to Jeremy. He has a calm presence that puts people at ease, and he has a way of helping people grow without making them feel like they're being managed. Before you know it, you're learning, improving, and accomplishing things you didn't think you could do.

He's funny, smart, easygoing, and genuinely believes in the goodness of people. He sees potential where others might see problems, and that mindset has had a lasting impact on countless people across the company.

Outside of work, Jeremy recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with his wife, and together they're raising their son, who is one of his greatest sources of pride. In fact, if we ever remember to take a new photo of him, you'll notice his left arm is covered in tattoos representing some of what he loves most, including his son.

He's also an incredible cook, although we're still waiting on more opportunities to verify that firsthand. 😏

Jeremy has spent the last 12 years growing alongside this company, and his influence can be seen in the people he's mentored, the culture he's helped build, and the example he sets every day.

We're grateful for his leadership and proud to celebrate this milestone.

At first glance, this looks like a bunch of ductwork in an attic. To HVAC nerds, it's a giant puzzle.

Nelson, Rodney, and Josh are working on a week-long replacement of a unit and ductwork. The wild part? This is essentially a new build. Unfortunately, the original zoning installation left a lot to be desired, so we're rebuilding it the right way.

A zoning system isn't just equipment and ductwork. It's sensors, dampers, controls, airflow calculations, and system design all working together.

Think of it like a brain. Each area of the home has its own zone. Sensors monitor conditions in those spaces and tell dampers when to open and close. Airflow has to be carefully designed so every room gets the right amount of conditioned air.

That's where things get complicated.

Duct sizes change based on the needs of each room. Airflow has to be balanced. Controls have to communicate properly. Every piece has to work together for the system to perform the way it was designed.

When it's done right, the homeowner doesn't think about any of that. They just notice the house is comfortable.

This is the kind of work that doesn't get much attention, but it's exactly where craftsmanship matters most.

Shoutout to Nelson, Rodney, and Josh for tackling one of the more complex residential projects we've seen this year.

(Also? It's probably hotter than 130 degrees in that attic. 🫠)

Some jobs are straightforward and some jobs require a little creativity.

The best of the best know the difference.

When a customer has a concern, the goal isn't just to "get it done."

It's to find a solution that actually makes sense for their home, explain it clearly, and make sure they're comfortable with it every step of the way.

That's the standard. 👏 Great job, Luke and Blake! 💙

You guys, do you see this photo from Rick? When was the last time you ventured into your attic?

This is like taking your trash out and leaving it in the hallway. Technically, you moved it, but did you solve the problem?

Not really.

The dryer vent is supposed to terminate outside. Instead, it's dumping heat and moisture into the attic.

Over time, that extra moisture can lead to organic growth, damaged insulation, and other expensive surprises.

The roof was literally *right* there. 🤦

Did you know whole-home dehumidifiers are a thing? They're a thing.

And if your thermostat is set to 72° but your house feels like 76°, humidity might be the problem, fam.

Your AC cools the air. A whole-home dehumidifier removes excess moisture from the air. So basically? Your house feels cooler, more comfortable, and a lot less sticky.

Jason was introduced to the HVAC industry through family and discovered it was something he genuinely enjoyed. These days, you'll find him in Commercial Install, where he's earned a reputation for being hardworking and someone who takes real pride in the quality of his work.

Jason is the kind of person who shows up ready to get the job done and done right. He consistently puts in the effort, takes ownership of his work, and helps keep projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Jason and his fiancée are huge Disney World fans and make the trip twice a year whenever they can.

One of the things we admire most about Jason is the path he's taken. He's worked hard make a life for himself, and the person he's become is something to be proud of. His growth, determination, and work ethic haven't gone unnoticed.

We're grateful to have him on the team and excited to see what the future holds.
